Now when producers make a movie, the stars can burst through with their own agenda or over-shadow a movie with their off-screen antics. But someday, they may be all like the young lady above---pure, immortal, unchanging---synthetic.I eagerly await an Aragorn who is not a hollywood pussy.

I doubt the despoliation of Aragorn's character was the actor's fault. When the writer/director finally becomes the only one on-stage, we can probably expect to see more unified work, some of it appalling, as well. I assume you're waiting for someone who will follow the original story rather than trying to rewrite great works, or will have the courage and talent to write their own....
